Thanks for testing NC10
I've bought Samsung NC10 even though I did't find some reviews. I really like it. Samsung NC10 weigh approzimately 1.3kg. It make me easy to carry it everywhere.
I bought it from amazon.com.

Once you have carefully set the audio output levels to set
the RF output level it's pretty time consuming (and annoying) if Windows changes it all.
Can I recommend the program Quickmix which is freeware and a stand-alone EXE?

This stores your mixer settings in a small file (wit more…

Hi Eddie,
I have a question regarding the NC10: In your Youtube video you mention that you use the NC10 for WSPR. I have bought a NC10 recently and can not get WSPR to run on it, though all runs fine on my other (big, Hi!) Laptop.
Do you remember having any difficulties in getting WSPR to work on Sammy? A friend of mine who is li more…

Occasionally we get a comment which sneaks an advert in and it is on topic and useful as a reference.
This is blatant off topic (except Samsung) advertising.
Generally bloggers are not happy with this sort of activity.
Me I evaluate the post and take appropriate action. In this instance the advert result is negative, I shal more…

Thanks, just what I needed to hear, 2.1 amps is far more acceptable than my Tosh's 6amps.
I saw the Maplin offer, wish I'd seen that 12 months ago.
Now all I need is a plan.

Hmm, Sammy likes 19 Volts at 2.1 Amps.
19V - pretty standard. 2.1 Amps pretty small. Maplin have a Car Supply on offer at £19.99 until Feb 17th, 8.5 Amps they say.
I envisage the odd session on the 240V inverter to charge when we are away, the Mappo looks like a good idea though.
Still got a 4 inch thick white Solar Panel f more…

Re: Sammy Netbook - summat else I need to know when you've a mind to have a look is what amps at what volts (DC) is the power supply rated at?
I'll have to buy a 12vDC to ?vDC psu when I eventually get a new 'puter and there's loads out there that are very light duty and wouldn't stimulate a canary let alone drive a PC.

Hi Mo
Just spotted your comment, you sneak past the e-mail notifications.
Well battery life around the house, it just went on and on, I have not taken it to the limits yet as I have not run it for enough hours. This is the opposite of all other Laptops I have used, which actually run out before you have done anything.

Hi Eddie
Interested in your findings on the NV10. Lets us know what the battery life is like, if you don't mind taking it close to the limit and how frustrating it is with no CD and smaller screen and keyboard, etc.
I'm in the market for something in that price range but have no experience with small screens. Battery life sits high in t more…

Aaaarrrggghh, its exactly 2 years since my last re-install and I DON'T want to go through that again.
But it's getting slower and slower and slower. Shall have to throw a sicky to find time for a re-install, can't possibly find the time otherwise.

Yes sure is, I spread my load around 4 machines. The one I use for SDR I consider to be a Radio and would very rarely consider using it for anything else.
The 2 year rule is pretty true with XP. If you actually use it XP will seize up and need a re install in about 2 years.

To be fair that is the use they are designed for and they do the job fine as you describe. I would like one for the same purpose.
Then the other uses come to mind for the other 85% of the time. I have Laptops that will cover all uses so it is down to small size only, which if you are flying Greece, again is a great advantage. more…
